Project Committee on Services for sheltered housing for the elderly
In 2008 the CEN Technical Board accepted a proposal by ÖN (Austrian National Standardization Body) to start standardization work on services of sheltered housing for the elderly and created a new Project Committee, CEN/TC 385 'Project Committee - Services for sheltered housing for the elderly'. The Project Committee will work on a European Standard specifying quality criteria for this kind of services.
The kick-off meeting of this Project Committee took place in Vienna on 31 October 2008. The next meeting will take place on 24 and 25 February 2009 in Stuttgart. For further information you may contact Ms Maitane Olabarria Uzquiano, CEN Programme Manager.

Project Committee on Airport and aviation security services
In May 2008 the CEN Technical Board accepted a proposal by ÖN (Austrian national standardization body) to start standardization work on Airport and aviation security services and created a new Project Committee in order to work on a European Standard in this area.
CEN/TC 384 'Project Committee - Airport and aviation security services', will work on a standard specifying requirements and quality criteria for the delivery of civil aviation security services related to aircraft, airports and airlines requested by public and private clients. The standard will include requirements on the organisation, personnel management and method of practice of private security companies offering these services.

Project Committee on Management Consultancy
In February 2008 the CEN Technical Board accepted a proposal by UNI (Italian national standardization body) to start standardization work on Management consultancy services and created a new Project Committee.
CEN/TC 381 'Project Committee - Management consultancy services', will work on a standard providing recommendations and requirements for offering, procurement, execution and evaluation of management consultancy services in order to support the business relationship between clients and management consultancy service Providers by developing transparency and understanding.
