European Standard Agreement Group

Mutual Recognition offers an alternative to those who do not want to use certification systems such as the Keymark or CENCER Mark.

If three or more CEN National Members conclude arrangements on the Mutual Recognition of test and assessment results, they can decide to establish a European Standard Agreement Group (ENAG).

An ENAG uses mutual confidence and equivalence between participating member's laboratories, where the Keymark and CENCER Mark use third party certification to demonstrate conformity of a product to a European Standard.

Currently there are no ENAGs active.

The rules for an ENAG are set down in the CEN Internal Regulations - Part 3, Annex F (September 2006).
